IV Catheters for Animals
Intravenous catheters for animals can be administered in a variety of ways in veterinary medicine. For example, they can be used for infusions and drug administration, as well as for drawing blood. Indwelling catheters offer the advantage of removing the cannula after the catheter is in place, allowing the catheter to remain in the vein as it is made of flexible synthetics. This reduces the risk of injury to restless animals. Also, a central venous catheter stays in the vein for several days, which is an especially great advantage when infused regularly.
